Human Wrongs In The Judicial System

This project sought to review the current Philippine judicial system and contribute to its modernization in order to relieve the unjust suffering of both the victims and accused and their loved ones brought about by delays in case resolutions and decongest courts and prisons.
It was in this regard that Impact Solutions Institute assisted in in-depth study into the key reasons for the unacceptable delays in resolutions. As part of the research, ISI enlisted the help of Rick Rocamora, award-winning photo journalist, to create a photo documentation of what was observed during the research conducted as well as proposed solutions to current situations. These were shared through a roving exhibit nationwide. These photos will also be featured in a book annotated by human rights lawyer and author of the Parreno Reports on Extra Judicial Killings, Al A. Parreno.
Aside from assisting in the research, Impact Solutions Institute also raised funds for the project logistics and partnered with the office of Supreme Court Justice Roberto R. Abad on the messaging.
The research findings from the ISI study will be used as an important basis for proposed litigation procedures in the Philippine judicial system.
